The SMME Construction Works Family of Contracts (2014) is an international suite of contracts designed to regulate relationships between employers, contractors, and SMME contractors. Essential for state departments, implementing agents, and consultancy firms, these contracts address the risks and obligations of SMME contractors, promoting economic balance by apportioning construction work in public projects. Private sector stakeholders also benefit.

Key features include recognition of SMME contractors, multilingual availability, skill transfer, employer control over SMME initiatives, quality management, South African-specific dispute resolution, direct payment options, and reimbursement for SMME development costs.
